International Solo Festival

History:

The International Solo Festival, which started in 2013, is an extension of Young Choreographer's Showcase to give young artists the space to showcase their own creative solo performances. with the elements of that solo show can be displayed in various open places In order to promote the work of the artist's solo performance

A platform for Solo artists from around the world to perform (dancer, painter, singer, stand-up comedy, juggler and many more) to join the festival for Thai and foreign audiences to experience world-class performance and bring arts into town to settle harmony in the city.

FOTAF encourages Thai Artist to network and collaborate with the visiting artists from aboard. Established in 2014 to celebrate world dance day since then it becomes an annual festival.

Festival Framework

Some of the festival’s highlights:

David Pereira, the winner of French Got Talent, contortionist, aerial artist, acrobatic choreographer, dancer and model. He creates some of his performances which he performs all over the world, in the best theaters, galas and all kind of events.
Daniel Haywards, British dancer/choreographer made his fame in Edinburgh Festival Fringe in his creation “Farang”
Tanakorn Sunvaraphiphu, new wave of Thai artist who makes his debut in Seoul International Improvisation Dance Festival 2014.
He was selected as one of the Young Outstanding Choreographer in the International Dance Festival 2013.

The International Solo Festival aims to be the centre space in Asia where solo artists will show off their unique creations. 40 international and Thai Solo artists various forms from cooking, juggling, painting , musicians, dancers and many more are invited to join this festival. It is a platform for Young outstanding choreographer to create their work.
