Baramee Art Project 2021-2025
Background
A proven method of creating happiness in life through following the teachings of the lord Buddha. Thai people have applied this method in a practical way of life. In 2009 Friends of the Arts foundation shared this beautiful idea through 3 experimental contemporary dance productions with the collaboration of English, Israeli, Italian and Thai choreographers and dancers. By continuing workshops and working progress into a complete production called Dharma-Da Mind 4 D in 2012 performed in the International Dance Festival in BKK and Chiang Mai. In 2019 the inspiration from the productions and workshop came together into BARAMEE Art project to celebrate H.M. King Rama 10th ‘s coronation at sanamluang. Music composed by Sawakol Muangkram based on 9 most popular Buddist prayers like Chaiparit Mahakaruniko.
A 5 year project by the Friends-of-the-Arts foundation wishes to work with partners such as supporters, performers, choreographers and cultural partners who value the collaboration as truly sharing the same objectives to make this project sustainable, which will benefit so many groups of people. To incorporate the teaching of Buddha as a practical way of life into a dance production.
20 local and international choreographers/Artists will collaborate in this project through exploring in workshops together/ experimental process in creating works and spending rehearsal time together as artists in residence to create the final 10 performances for Thailand Biennale in 2023.

Dharmada Mind 4D, 2012
Purpose:
To stimulate the interest of general public in doing good for their happiness and wellbeing.
Education through Dharma through dance / performing arts.
To promote the excellence in Thai artist and productions.
To create a sustainable performing arts program and space(art village) through this project.
